👋 Introduction
Running ads on Facebook and Instagram can help your business reach new customers, generate leads, and increase sales. But understanding how your ads are performing can sometimes feel overwhelming.
With Webware's Ads Manager, you can manage your Meta advertising campaigns, monitor performance, and track results without having to constantly switch between different platforms.
You can also see when someone becomes a lead through your Meta advertising and access their information directly inside your Webware CRM, making it easier to follow up with potential customers.
👍 What to Know Before You Start
Before using Ads Manager:
You'll need a Meta advertising account connected to Webware.
Your Meta account is typically connected by the Webware team during onboarding or campaign setup.
Ads Manager supports advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram through Meta.
You can view campaign performance, manage campaigns and ads, and track leads inside Webware.
Advertising costs are associated with your Meta ad campaigns, so be mindful of your campaign budgets.
💡 Tip: If your Meta advertising account hasn't been connected or you don't see your campaigns, contact your Account Manager or Webware Support for assistance.
🛠 Step-by-Step: How to Use Ads Manager
✅ Step 1: Access Ads Manager
Log in to your Webware Workspace.
From the left-hand navigation menu, select Marketing.
Click Ads Manager.
You'll see three main sections:
Campaigns: Create and manage your Meta advertising campaigns.
Ads: View and manage individual advertisements.
Insights: Monitor advertising performance and results.
✅ Step 2: Confirm Your Meta Account Is Connected
At the top-right corner of Ads Manager, you'll see Manage Ad Accounts.
This section allows you to view and manage the Meta advertising accounts connected to Webware.
⚠️ Important: Your Meta advertising account is typically connected by the Webware team during onboarding or campaign setup. Most clients won't need to configure this themselves.
If you don't see your advertising account, reach out to your Account Manager for assistance.
✅ Step 3: View and Manage Your Campaigns
From the Ads Manager dashboard, click Campaigns.
Here, you'll be able to view your connected Meta advertising campaigns, including:
Campaign Name: The name of your advertising campaign.
Status: Whether the campaign is active or paused.
Objective: What the campaign is designed to accomplish.
You can also use the three-dot (⋯) Actions menu beside a campaign to:
Edit campaign settings
View its Ad Sets
Pause a campaign
Delete a campaign

💡 Tip: Review your campaigns regularly to understand which ones are currently running and whether they align with your business goals.
✅ Step 4: Create a New Advertising Campaign
If you'd like to create a new campaign, click Create Campaign.
You'll be asked to configure a few settings:
Campaign Name
Give your campaign a name that makes it easy to identify.
For example: Summer Promotion – Facebook Leads
Campaign Objective
Choose what you want your advertising campaign to accomplish.
Common objectives include:
Traffic: Drive more visitors to your website.
Leads: Encourage potential customers to submit their contact information.
Sales: Encourage purchases or conversions.
Campaign Status
Choose whether your campaign should be Active or Paused.
Special Ad Categories
If your advertising relates to certain regulated categories, such as housing, employment, or financial products and services, select the applicable category.
Once you've entered the information, click Save Campaign.
⚠️ Note: Your campaign objective determines how Meta optimizes your advertising. Choose the objective that best matches what you're trying to achieve.
✅ Step 5: Understand and Manage Ad Sets
After creating a campaign, the next step is configuring its Ad Sets.
An Ad Set controls who sees your advertisement, where it appears, and how your advertising budget is spent.
From your Campaigns dashboard, use the Actions menu > View Ad Sets to access the Ad Sets associated with your campaign.
You can review existing Ad Sets or select Create Adset to configure a new one.
Ad Set Settings
When creating or editing an Ad Set, you'll find several important settings:
Budget & Bidding
Daily advertising budget
Optimization goals
Billing events and bidding settings
Audience & Placement
Target cities or locations
Age ranges
Gender targeting
Facebook and Instagram placements
Detailed Targeting
Interests
Behaviors
Demographics
💡 Tip: Your audience targeting and budget can have a significant impact on your advertising results. Start with a clear understanding of your ideal customer before making changes.
✅ Step 6: View and Manage Your Advertisements
Return to the Ads Manager dashboard and click Ads.
This section provides an overview of the individual advertisements associated with your campaigns.
You'll see:
Total Ads: The total number of advertisements created.
Active Ads: Advertisements that are currently running.
Paused Ads: Advertisements that have been temporarily stopped.
Below the summary, you'll find a list of your advertisements and their current status.
Use the three-dot (⋯) Actions menu beside an ad to manage it, including options to pause or delete it.
💡 Tip: If an advertisement is outdated or no longer relevant, consider pausing it rather than leaving it running unnecessarily.
✅ Step 7: Monitor Your Advertising Performance
One of the biggest benefits of Ads Manager is being able to understand how your advertising campaigns are performing.
From the Ads Manager dashboard, select Insights.
This section displays important advertising metrics and allows you to review performance over different periods.
You can filter your results by:
Today
Last 7 Days
Last 30 Days
Lifetime
Custom Date Range
Understanding Your Advertising Metrics
Here's what the most common metrics mean:
Metric | What It Means |
Total Spend | How much money you've spent on advertising. |
Impressions | How many times your ads have been displayed. |
Clicks | How many clicks your advertisements have received. |
CTR (Click-Through Rate) | The percentage of impressions that resulted in clicks. |
How to Interpret Your Results
High CTR: Your advertisement may be attracting interest from the audience you're targeting.
High Spend + Low Clicks: Your messaging, creative, or audience targeting may need improvement.
High Click Volume: Your advertisements are generating interest, but you'll still want to check whether those clicks become leads or customers.
Low Impressions: Your advertising budget, audience size, or delivery settings may be limiting how often your ads appear.
💡 Tip: Don't focus only on clicks. The real goal is to understand whether your advertising is generating valuable opportunities for your business.
👥 Step-by-Step: How to Find Your Meta Advertising Leads in the CRM
✅ Step 8: Access Your Facebook and Instagram Leads
When someone submits a lead form through your connected Facebook or Instagram advertising campaign, their information can automatically be added to your Webware CRM.
To find these leads:
Navigate to Customers from the left-hand menu.
Select Lists.

Look for the built-in preset lists:
These lists help organize contacts generated through your Meta advertising campaigns.
💡 Tip: Instead of manually collecting contact information from your Meta advertising campaigns, you can access your new leads directly inside Webware.
✅ Step 9: Review Your Lead Information
Click on a contact from your Facebook or Instagram Leads list to open their Contact Profile.
Here, you'll find the contact information submitted through their advertising inquiry.
You can also expand the Lead Data section to view additional information, such as:
Campaign Name
Ad Name
Ad Set Name
Advertising Platform
Contact Information
Form Name
Message or Inquiry submitted by the lead
This makes it easier to understand which advertisement generated the lead and what the potential customer was interested in.
You can then use the CRM to organize follow-ups, add notes, create tasks, and manage your customer relationships.
💡 Pro Tips & Best Practices
1. Choose the Right Campaign Objective
Before launching an advertisement, decide what you want to achieve. Are you trying to drive website traffic, generate new leads, or increase sales? Your campaign objective should reflect that goal.
